Our Philosophy

Health Associates Medical Group is a nutrient oriented Integrative Medical Practice in Sacramento founded in 1985.  Our goal is to optimize your body's own ability to heal through diet, nutritional medicine, exercise, homeopathic, herbal and regenerative therapies.  We believe in natural hormone replacement, normalization of intestinal function, reduction of environmental toxins, chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture and the judicious use of medications and surgery.

scope of practice

We do not have hospital privileges.  Most of our patients have a primary care physician, however, we do work closely with the Sacramento medical community and will assist in getting you to an appropriate specialist when needed. 

We do not handle acute care medicine such as lacerations, casting, or surgical procedures. That said we treat a very wide range of acute and chronic medical problems from acute infections of all types to common chronic diseases (heart disease, hypertension, post-stroke, diabetes, obesity, memory loss, arthritis, tendon and ligament issues and variety of acute and chronic pain syndromes) to more obscure illness such as autoimmune diseases (i.e. Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Thyroiditis ) to diseases of chronic and “unexplained” inflammation, digestive and gastrointestinal disorders, food intolerance and environmental illness (i.e. heavy metal excess and mold illness / CIRS - Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome).

Emergencies that occur on weekends of after hours should be taken care of by an urgent care facility, emergency room or one's primary physician who has acute care capabilities.

We do not accept assignment from any insurance.  We accept payment by cash, check or credit card.  We provide a computerized bill with appropriate medical coding that can be sent to your insurance carrier for reimbursement on covered medical services.

Due to the sensitivity of some of our patients, we ask that all visitors to our office please avoid using or wearing scented products such as perfumes, colognes, lotions, fragrances or essential oils.  The fumes from these products may cause some of our patients to suffer adverse reactions.  We thank you for your consideration of others and your cooperation with this policy.
