I know you are all overloaded with Covid 19 info from good sources and from hype (and political bias). It is hard for me to know the difference at times. But the things I share with you I am 95% plus I am sure off.

- The peak in California will probably occur in the next 2-4 weeks. It will go up and so will the deaths. BUT...

- Watch the first 4:30 min of this interview with in-the-trenches New York physician Dr. Davis Price at Weil Cornell Medical Center which he says is essentially an "all Covid 19" Hospital. His advice is very encouraging about the spread and how to protect yourself and loved ones....

DON'T' PUT YOUR HANDS TO YOUR FACE unless you have washed them - not your mouth, nose or eyes!..... Watch this short 4:30 min video. It is totally worth it. He is the real deal on the front lines

If we do a good job with distancing ourselves (6 feet, no groups) and hygiene (hand-washing) for the next 30 days we may be able to keep the deaths to 100,000-200,000. As terrible as that sounds if we did nothing some estimates are 2.5 million. But for right now Americans are doing good. Stay the course, even if you feel like you are in a "calm" area. Infection rates go up exponentially.

1000 plus patients in New York are on hydroxychloroquine and zithromax so we are going to find out if this life saving therapy with 2 common drugs works sooner than later.

Headaches? Pain? Arthritis? Think Food First! Save Thousands of Dollars With BED Diet!

Have Headaches (Pain) Think "Food First". In May of 1983 - yep almost 37 years ago, I was working at my first job in a wholistic medical practice in Marina Del Rey for Dr. Rob Krakovitz, MD. He put everyone on a two week "detox" which was a vegetable puree, some vitamins and some psyllium seed husks. What I observed was all kinds of pain syndromes improve during this two week vegetable puree. Not only headaches, but also joint pain, abdominal pain, about any kind of "itis" you can think of.

In my own life I can trigger a headaches starting behind my right eye with a combination of chocolate, alcohol, green or black tea, or black coffee or a moderate excess of one of these. I am allergic to aspirin so in the past if I "jumped" on a headache quickly with an espresso and 2 500 mg Tylenols it would go away. But that stopped working. Now a bubbly/sugary old fashion coke with 2 Tylenol’s usually does it. It happens about two times per month. Usually when I have had a single cup of black coffee daily for several days then I add one of the 3 other triggers (tea green or black, chocolate or alcohol). The other thing to note about headaches/pain is that your sensitivities can change with life and age. Green tea never use to do this too me until about 2-3 years ago. My load is low now. As long as I skip a day or two of my black coffee per week and do a little of one of the other three.... no headaches. But occasionally I slip. But I know what it is when it happens. If I catch it early I catch it. If not. Oh well there is a gradually occurring, nauseating pain behind my right eye. But because I know what foods affect me then I don't have to go to a doctor or take some chronic medication for it.

So going on more of a whole food plant-based diet gets you off of some classic triggers...dairy foods, processed wheat products/baked goods, eggs, some plant-based people give up caffeine as well.... Remember if you hurt anywhere think food first.

"Key Point: Anytime you go on a fast, modified fast, detox, elimination diet for more that 4-5 days you can learn a lot and save THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS if you pay attention to how you feel while you are on the "diet-fast-detox" and then how you feel when you re-introduce foods that you have eliminated. PAY ATTENTION AND SAFE MONEY AND REDUCE YOUR PAIN AND DOCTOR VISITS!

Maintenance/Prevention Acute Illness for 1-2 Weeks

Vitamin A 10,000 units/d – can increase up to 100,000 U for 1-2 weeks
Vitamin C 1000-4000 mg/d - can increase “to bowel tolerance” indefinitely (gas, bloating, loose stools, back off) and maintain at the highest dose as long as you don’t get lose stools or diarrhea. Example 1 - take 1000 mg every half hour. After let’s say 3 hours getting gas, bloating. Then you might skip an hour and try 1000 mg later. Maximum does will very from person to person and illness to illness. Example 2 – when I was 28 I had adult chicken pox. Sickest I have ever been. Took 40,000 mg of vitamin C daily orally (10 teaspoons) and IV 80-90 grams (80,000-90,000) no diarrhea. Three weeks later couldn’t take 5000 mg of vitamin C orally would get loose stools
Vitamin D 5000 – 10,000 IU/d – can increase up to 50,000 IU daily for 1-2 weeks
Zinc 25-50 mg/d – can increase up to 50-100 mg

These higher doses are if you are beginning to feel sick or are sick. They can be maintained for 1-2 weeks at these higher levels and can be tested to see what levels you are at (Vit C, A, D, zinc) then.

Note: I routinely find with blood testing, especially in those over 65, classic deficiencies of vitamins A, C, D and the mineral zinc. I am very suspicious that the common deficiency of 2 or more of these vitamins and mineral set the elderly up for a shingles outbreak, flu and pneumonia susceptibility, and frequent urinary tract infections.

Facial Dip and Sinus Flush

For any nasal or sinus congestion from allergies, colds, flu or any upper respiratory infection – bacterial or viral – works better than nasal washes, Neti pot, etc.
1. Plug the sink
2. Put in 2-3 tablespoons of salt (any kind)
3. Fill the sink up with hot water
4. Test hot water with your chin before sticking your whole face in
5. If you must add a bit of cold water to get your face in do so
6. Goal - the hotter the water the better --- but don’t burn yourself
7. Immerse your chin, mouth, nose, eyes in the water (ears out of the water)
8. Hold for 5 seconds
9. Lift your face out of the water and blow your nose. Then put your face back in the water
10. Do this a total of 5 times
11. Times 3-5 you can allow water to seep up your nostril if you like. Don’t have to snort it.
12. Do this morning and evening

This technique seems simple, but it is very effective. Again, the hotter water the
better but don’t burn yourself.

Nasal Flush in Shower
1) In the shower you can just cup your hands to catch the water then snort it and spit it out. But this stings quite a bit.
2) Fill small Tupperware container with “tepid” water and 2 tablespoons of salt. Get blue bulbed syringe and cut tip off so it fits without going too far up your nose. Draw up salt water. Tilt head forward and put bulb in one nostril and squirt water in one nostril. Will come out on other side. Spit into shower.

1. You want to be in the cleanest environment/air possible
2. Avoid pets in your bedroom or on your bed
3. Ideally hard wood floors and no hanging drapes (blinds)
4. HEPA air filter in bedroom (Austin Air Healthmate Plus)
5. ERMI test if suspicious of mold - Envirobiomics
6. Pure Maintenance Golden State for mold air testing/inspection then “Fogging”
with patented hydrogen peroxide and vinegar product

Diet
1. Whole foods – no processed foods – no added oils or sugars, minimally processed
grains – whole grain products is best. High in fiber per serving.

mucous in lungs and sinuses)
5. Only eat whole, unprocessed complexed carbohydrates (whole grains, beans,
lentils, peas, yams, sweet potatoes, potatoes, squash, root vegetables).
6. Raw nuts and seeds 1-2 palmfuls per day.

Comments and Thoughts on Covid 19 Risk Factors
Those who are over 70 year of age and who have heart disease, diabetes, respiratory diseases and cancers have increased risk of dying from Covid 19 infection. These are the chronic diseases that a whole food plant-based diet is so effective in treating. It is also an anti-inflammatory diet that can reduce inflammation in the lungs (no dairy, processed wheat products, eggs, meats…) reducing the risk to respiratory distress. Fruit and vegetable consumption are linked to lower respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD. Also, vegetables and fruits are the sources of powerful antioxidants and plant phytochemicals that help reduce inflammation, protect your airways and lead to their dilating.

Eat More Good Carbs and Less Bad Fats and Reverse Your Insulin Resistance and Diabetes

Obvious circumstances with Covid-19 virus have made a "people gathering" for my normal talks in Los Angels and Sacramento postponed this month March (2020) and indefinitely. But I was able to record my talk with audio and my Powerpoint slides so you can have even better access to the information and take you time review it.

The talk's title is "Eat MORE 'Good Carbs' & Less Fat! & Reverse Your Diabetes & Insulin Resistance." There are about 70ish slides with 4 short videos mixed in. The videos are excellent and the slides are dense with information.

Bottom line is diabetes is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States but is largely a preventable and many times reversible condition that increases the risk to all other chronic diseases. Fat Causes Insulin Resistance Which is Seen In Diabetes and Alzheimer's Disease! Check Out the Neuroquant Brain MRI to See The Reason Behind Your Memory Issues!

Most people, including health professionals don't realize that if you reduce insulin resistance you not only reverse type 2 diabetes (>90% of diabetics) but you also help prevent Alzheimer's disease and reverse early cognitive decline. Alzheimer's disease has been described as "Type 3 diabetes."

What Causes Insulin Resistance?

So if you improve your insulin resistance you not only can get rid of your diabetes but you can prevent Alzheimer's disease and reverse cognition and memory issues.

BRAIN IMAGING FOR COGNITIVE DECLINE - ALZHEIMER'S OR OTHER CONDITIONS?

Many people want to know if they can do a test to see if they have Alzheimer's disease. There really is no one perfect test. But a type of Brain Scan (MRI) using the Neuroquant Program to evaluate brain structures can go a long way in pointing to you where you may have brain structural changes that suggest Alzheimer's, inflammation, infection or conditions like mold or Lyme toxicity which can be other reason's for cognitive decline and memory loss aside from Alzheimer's. Testosterone is not the answer to every males weight issues! I use it but want the patient to find out how much he can do on their own. If you give testosterone right away you are taking away a patient's power and you are attaching him to taking testosterone the rest of his life! Any physician ever tell you that? It's testosterone for life in reality.... Again I use testosterone in patients.... It can be incredibly valuable!..... BUT I try and give it AFTER a really good effort by the patient using lifestyle! Patients need to know how much they can achieve on their own... even if you are deficient in the hormone like this gentleman. 

PROBLEMS

Anxiety – better
Cognition – better
Depression – much less. Of medication. Using SAMe
Drive – much better
Erections – erections have been good with Viagra
Family history of CHF – no issue
Hypertension – better with less medication
Hyperlipidemia – better with less medication
Joint - back, knees and right ankle – better
Libido – still would like more – better
Lose Weight – has lost 59 lbs in 4 ½ months
Nocturia 3-4 times at night
Sleeps more easily
Stomach no problem

STOPPED - Tylenol #3 with codeine not regularly – back

 DIET

1-2 - 70 Oz smoothies per day - Smoothie Inflamx 2 scoops in each drink 2 times per day

Snacks: Garbanzo, black beans
